The XSLT-process mode for XEmacs/GNU Emacs supports Cocoon1 one as
well. It essentially allows you to run Cocoon1 on an XML document and
view the results in another buffer.

The new version of XSLT-process that I'm working on right now has
support for debugging stylesheets. After the release of the new
version, I plan to add support for running and debugging Cocoon2 XSP
pages, complete with error reporting going back to the XSP source
file.
