I'm looking at how to solve a similar problem for WAP devices. The problem is
that the WAP protocol doesn't have the notion of cookies, so many WAP gateway
vendors do not have support for cookies in their gateway software. Fortunately
WML has the notion of variables that live on the WAP device and a careful
written WML framework/application can make use of these to store the session
id.

I think a solution would be to pass the session id as an argument to the XSLT
processor so stylesheets could rewrite the URLs to include it. This is the
approach I'm looking into. Do you have any other ideas?

Regards,
