I've sorted it now. It was, in fact, a cocoon.properties file which still
had the old line in it. I hadn't spotted it because it was in a colleague's
webapp.

I must have changed something else at the same time as recompiling
EngineWrapper.

Odd. The two do completely different things. You must have the same XML file

both on disc and in the request, right? Which is certainly inefficient.
