Jeremy, If you want just to output XML/HTML/... inside <textarea>,
why don't you just replace '<' and '>' with '&lt;' and '&gt;' :

<textarea name="blah">
	&lt;li&gt;List Item&lt;/li&gt;
</textarea>

Or is there any other problems with this?
