Subject [C2] CR's and Manifests
Date Wed, 26 Jul 2000 12:47:18 GMT

Many of the Cocoon-2 source files are being checked in with unusual line
terminators... two CR's followed by a LF.

One such file is the Manifest.mf. In the process of copying this file from
the source directory to the build source directory (why is this needed?),
this sequence is translated into a CR, LF, CR, LF. Essentially, a blank
line is inserted. This makes the manifest file invalid and none of the
class files in the jar are accessible.
