Whups. I figured it out. StrictHostKeyChecking was defaults to yes.
It's only necessary for me to post a dumb question for the answer to
immediately appear. Sorry.

Sorry to be off-topic, but does anyone have experience getting ssh client
running on RedHat 6.0?
I can't connect to Locus. I ran ssh-keygen after installing from RPM, but
when I tried 'ssh locus.apache.org' I get:
"Host key not found from teh list of known hosts."

Feel free to respond directly to me if you don't want to post to the whole
list.
