this should really be

  TV <- box <-(mpeg2)- satellite <- gateway <-> cocoon
         |                             ^
         +--> phone -------------------+

of course TV sets don't have modems :)

You mean, we could borrow one of your satellite tranponders and have an
open source Cocoon channel? that would be great :)
