Subject RE: ssvm not re-created after removed
Date Wed, 06 Feb 2013 13:18:09 GMT
Hi,

No, not current.
Back in the days when I tried to upgrade from 3.0.2 to 4.0 this was an issue for me too.
There were other problems (now confirmed/fixed bugs) I was facing so I did not upgrade.

Regards

Hi,

Does it matter whether the systemvm offering was changed or not?
Mine was and it did not work even if restarted the management servers.
Odd.

no, i have only upgrade the OS and folow the instruction http://incubator.apache.org/cloudstack/docs/en-US/Apache_CloudStack/4.0.0-incubating/html/Release_Notes/upgrade-instructions.html

All my Servers runs under CentOS 6.3. I have one Managemnt Server and two zones at each datacenter
connectet over vpn.
I use advanced network. before the upgrade i have no changes at the infrastructure.

yes, i send you the log as text via email is that okay?
also i will read the log to study at the next days to find the error. maybe i found the issue.

Hi Ahmad,

I have nothing changed during the upgrade and no problems found too. The Network works fine.

But all-clear. I have also destroyed the console proxy to look the result what happens.
After a restart the cloud-management service the function "storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl"
create a new secstorage vm.
and the console Proxy comes up too.

For the documentation it's maybe helpful.
For this problem destroy all system-vms in the zone and restart the managent service. that's
it.

I have no trivial erros found in the log.
Also i found no command "storage.secondary.SecondaryStorageManagerImpl" this was missing!

Many thanks from Germany and for your help!!!

Was this setup working at some point? Has anything changed in the networking? Maybe the its
a new host and the configuration hasnt been applied yet.... what I see is cloudstack tries
to deploy your system vm's but cant ping them on their public interface:
2013-02-02 23:12:36,511 WARN [cloud.consoleproxy.ConsoleProxyManagerImpl]
(Job-Executor-26:job-91) Unable to ssh to the VM: Can not ping System vm v-1240-VMdue to:Unable
