This is really strange as I can connect as root to the local mysql server
running on my MacBookPro

mysql -h localhost -u root

and display tables info

mysql> CONNECT fuse_demo;
mysql> SHOW TABLES;
+---------------------+
| Tables_in_fuse_demo |
+---------------------+
| Payments            |
| ProcessedPayments   |
+---------------------+
2 rows in set (0.00 sec)
