Subject Re: How to set up Bridged Network?

Is the shared network 192.168.2.x/24 on a vlan? If so is that trunked to host2? Can you log
into that vm2, make sure the guest has an ip and can ping its respective gateway?

Thanks, Ahmad.

My test VM1 is running on Host2.

I've tried to connect VM1 from Host1 using ssh but I've failed.

Of course, connection from Host2 is successful.

My test VM1 has setting of NICs such as

IP addr :

Type : Shared

Gateway :

Netmask :

Is Default : Yes

Why can't I connect to VM1 from External?

I think that VM1 is connected to cloudbr0 ( on Host2 where is running VM1.

So on Host2 I can connect to VM1 but can't connect to VM1 from Host1. Right?

Title : Re: How to set up Bridged Network?

You want everything on a routable l2 network? Is that the understanding?
If so you might want to research 'basic zones' and/or shared networks.
Bridged networking is not needed from my understanding.
