Subject RE: Hardware requirement for cloud setup

Hi,

We use dell M610 blades with 2x6core + 96GB ram each for vmware. One of our clients is using
dell R610 for xenservers with similar spec.
The above are enterprise hardware therefore pricy and they boot slow, but convenient to use
and reliable.

To have 10 times 16GB you'd need at least two full spec of the above for example. You can
go for 4cores instead of 6 as 4 cores with hyperthreading would mean 8vCPU for your HV.
If you want failover should a node die then 3 of the above plus shared storage server or servers
if you need resilience on storage side as well.

Regards

Subject: Hardware requirement for cloud setup

Hi,

We need to setup a private cloud at our office the requirement is as follows :

virtual instance 10

Avg memory/instance 16 GB Each

Avg Processor/instance per instance 8

can you please suggest minimum hardware requirement for the above setup. Any benchmarking
also very much helpful for us.
