One useful thing we can do is to build a new template or decide on a template and use that across the main website and various docs sites. We can explore opensource templates (bootstrap etc) and use them maybe, or if we have anyone with decent
design skills who can help.
I personally would avoid building a single page app as there is a SEO penalty associated with them (SEO is do-able but requires extra work and URL router using browser history apis), I personally very much like static sites (like we’ve now, with
middleman, jekyll, hyde etc).
(We might also want to put in easter eggs and interesting things in website and doc sites :)
Replying to Matthew and Gladys at the same time,
I don’t really have any ideas what I know is:
I don’t want to create a committee for this, I don’t want to do a survey…
I just would like someone to take it on and try to propose a new flat modern design (like the single page, multi section sites we see these days).
It could do with just some tweaks on the current design, with better fonts, better content formatting etc…but it could also be a new design.

I still would love to see a better web design for our website.
All folks doing core cloudstack development are not web designers and what we do visually is terrible (most of the time).
Is there anyone on this list with visual web design skills, or someone who could allocate a few hours of their web designer time to redesigning the CloudStack website ?
It is all on GitHub:
And changes can be submitted via github pull request.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
