Just curious... is this your personal stance, or does Forbes actually
have editorial guidelines? Looking at a lot of stuff there, I'd be
shocked to learn they enforce any CoI guidelines.

Best,

I can't write it because of conflicts of interest and I doubt BenK will help our cause. We
could try Louis Columbus st Forbes? What's the angle?

Agree with all your points ruv
A positive article on Forbes would help too :-)

I'd say the most obvious tactic would be to colocate our events rather than attempting to

On the marketing front, our best bet is to get our customers and or users to be our advocates.
This involves us actually reaching out and helping them do this with an orchestrated campaign
to bring broader awareness.

Subject: Barriers to awareness
All,
I just thought I'd share a conversation I've had with the organisers of
Cloud World Forum.

As I'm down to attend, the guy rings asking about Pointgreen and if we
want to exhibit/sponsor the show. I politely decline, but then ask would
the show not benefit from say a 'Cloudstack' presentation, to which the
response is 'they'll have to pay'.

I'd explain this is Apache Open Source community offering, but the guy
wont budge, rules are rules, even though the benefit to the audience could
be significant.

Question is, how do you educate folks, especially in the Enterprise
market, if forums like this are closed due to cost?
