I love this idea. Windows shops are very anti Linux but if we combine Hyper-V support with
windows based management server server support, that's got to give open up a whole new market.

I was thinking of Azure as a PaaS sitting on top of ACS-managed infrastructure.

I haven't tried this yet, but it *seems* possible...

John--So, what do you mean by an "Azure cloud powered by ACS"?
Are you referring to the IaaS capability of Azure, so basically bringing up ACS in a Linux
VM running in Azure?

Azure PR - would be way to fun, the only caveat, I had a friend who worked for Azure and hence
I'm strong believer if you mix Azure and ACS, its actually going to do more harm than good.

Seems easy enough to me (at first glance) altho SystemCenter already
supports Xenserver (supposedly - can't say I've run it)

Another fun PR stunt would be an Azure cloud powered by ACS. It's on
my radar, but probably won't try until some time in Q1.

As insane as it sounds, we have a definite advantage over other
since we are running cross platform java.

Why not offer a Windows build as convinience? We are going to take
Windows market share that is afraid of Linux command line (that's
still a very significant population outside of bay area). I know for
certain OS or Euca do not run on Windows.

This maybe our advantage we can use as marketing and get many more
people on board.

Any thoughts on marketing? I will be asking this on dev.

Source: Friend of mine who does ACS development had it running in
Windows environment.
