Subject [jira] [Commented] (CLOUDSTACK-8562) User Definable Roles
Date Wed, 27 Apr 2016 03:32:13 GMT

ASF GitHub Bot commented on CLOUDSTACK-8562:

Github user jburwell commented on the pull request:
@mlsorensen +1 -- well said. presents a number of significant problems.
First, in a clustered environment, it is possible (and quite easy) for there to be inconsistent
security policies across the cluster. Second, does not permit the definition
of new roles. Limiting users to 4 roles in a modern cloud environment is a barrier to CloudStack
As Marcus has stated, we can't move forward if we keep trying to maintain outdated mechanisms.
Existing users can continue to use and migrate if/when they desire. New
users gain the benefits of a more reliable and flexible authorization implementation.
