Subject [jira] [Commented] (CLOUDSTACK-9008) VM Snapshots no longer work with managed storage
Date Fri, 30 Oct 2015 20:09:27 GMT

Mike Tutkowski commented on CLOUDSTACK-9008:

I get a NullPointerException from CitrixRevertToVMSnapshotCommandWrapper when calling this

            citrixResourceBase.revertToSnapshot(conn, vmSnapshot, vmName, vm.getUuid(conn),
snapshotMemory, citrixResourceBase.getHost().getUuid());

For some reason, I'm having a hard time stepping into the revertToSnapshot method, though.
I have a breakpoint set, but it doesn't get hit. The method, however, must be getting invoked
because it is what calls the vmopsSnapshot revert_memory_snapshot functionality in XenServer.

> When using managed storage for the root disk of a VM, you cannot revert a VM to a VM
snapshot without encountering a RuntimeException that destroys the state of your disk.
