Subject [jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-8926) blacklisting particular IPv6 addresses is not possible
Date Wed, 30 Sep 2015 11:57:04 GMT
Stephan Seitz created CLOUDSTACK-8926:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: blacklisting particular IPv6 addresses is not possible
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-8926
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8926
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Improvement
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: API, Network Controller
    Affects Versions: 4.5.1
            Reporter: Stephan Seitz
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: Future

When offering IPv6 in shared networks, there are use-cases to "blacklist" particular IPv6
addresses from being offered by the VirtualRouter's dhcp6.
It could be mitigated by narrowiing the start/end-addresses, IF the particular addresses are
relatively close.
Anyway, a table or structure for "externally used" addresses not to be provided by the VR
could really be handy.
