Subject [jira] [Created] (CLOUDSTACK-8446) VM reboot operation should make sure there's a VR running
Date Wed, 06 May 2015 13:39:59 GMT
Nux created CLOUDSTACK-8446:
-------------------------------

Summary: VM reboot operation should make sure there's a VR running
                 Key: CLOUDSTACK-8446
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-8446
             Project: CloudStack
          Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public (Anyone can view this level - this is the default.)
          Components: Virtual Router
    Affects Versions: 4.5.1
         Environment: KVM, Advanced + SG
            Reporter: Nux
            Priority: Minor

Hello,

In an Advanced with Security Groups zone the VR only is responsible for giving out DHCP.

Should the VR get destroyed etc, if a VM is rebooted it will fail to acquire a DHCP IP.

Can we make sure a "reboot" operation does some checks on the VR, in a similar way a "deployVirtualMachine"
does?
