Come to think of it, I think there's actually quite a bit of code that relies on Vlan.UNTAGGED.
There's even a section that does the opposite of what this patch does (if vlan is null it
sets vlan = Vlan.UNTAGGED), just later on, which probably fixes any breakage caused by the
patch, aside from the issue I'm having, which exists immediately prior to setting it back
to Vlan.UNTAGGED.
