frank zhang commented on CLOUDSTACK-3578:
-----------------------------------------

Miguel:
The package you installed is opensource Xen, which is not supported by CloudStack.
CloudStack only supports Xenserver that is a variant of Xen and released by Citrix.
The main difference between opensrouce Xen and Xenserver is the management API. Xenserver
has its own management API called XAPI that CloudStack mgmt server talks to, because of this,
you can only add Xenserver host to a cluster as CloudStack has no API integration with opensrouce
Xen.
Citrix has fully open sourced Xenserver, you can go download it from http://www.citrix.com/go/products/xenserver/download.html.
