sd[a-z] is the standard naming convention for scsi disk in Linux as far as
I know.
Vmware emulates a regular scsi controller and all consequent disks are
virtual scsi devices.

So yes, you should find all your disks as sd[a-z]+. Currently the limit in
vmware is 14 or something with 4.3, but the potential is much more.
