Subject [jira] [Closed] (CLOUDSTACK-11) Not able to install ASF 4.0 on Rhel 6.2
Date Fri, 07 Sep 2012 08:44:07 GMT

Abhinav Roy closed CLOUDSTACK-11.

    Resolution: Fixed

Closing the issue as we got the proper steps and the installation is going fine now. Here
are the steps :-

1. Copy the following packages into one folder :

2. Go into that folder and install the packages
    rpm -Uvh *.rpm

3. Install the DB server
    yum install mysql-server mysql

4. Enable mysqld
    service mysqld start

5. Login to mysql and grant access privileges to remote users,

6. Restart mysqld
     service mysqld restart

7. Open mysql server port 3306
     iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 3306 -j ACCEPT

8. Edit the /etc/sysconfig/iptables file and add the following line at the beginning of the
INPUT chain:
     -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 3306 -j ACCEPT

9. Set up the database
    cloud-setup-databases cloud:<dbpassword>@localhost --deploy-as=root:<password>
    -e <encryption_type> -m <management_server_key> -k <database_key>

**** If setting up databases gives this error
Cloud DB required file /usr/share/java/cloud-jasypt-1.8.jar was not found
      make sure /usr/local/bin/cloud-setup-databases has
     "encryptionJarPath = '/usr/share/java/jasypt-1.9.0.jar'"
      Repeat step 9.
