Bob Schellink commented on CLK-386:
-----------------------------------

Agreed, the LiveGrid isn't very easy to use nor understand. And Rico does look abandoned.

There is a JQuery-1.3.2 example in trunk so if anybody wants to provide a LiveGrid patch I'll
commit it. The makoomba example mentioned above doesn't seem to have a license so won't be
suitable for inclusion.

Regarding creation of a reusable LiveGrid control my feeling is that because its Ajax based
it won't be that easy to incorporate as a control.

> Make out of the actual LiveGrid example a "complete" and reusable Control (by the users),
like all the others from click extras (maybe with an API similar to the Table Control).
> The actual example is good, but it's just to hard for the users to make a similar one
for their applications: a reusable control could solve this problem and make Click even more
efficient.
