SharePoint is known not to be spec compliant in this area. (It has been reported to Microsoft,
but they are not going to fix it.)
The only workaround is to set the filter to "*" when you call getChildren(). If that doesn't
help, you can try an IN_FOLDER query. But you have to run this query a least twice - for documents
and for folders.
