I'll take a look at the read only issue. 

Could you file separate issues for the implementation of  org.apache.chemistry.opencmis.jcr.JcrService#getContentChanges(..)
and also one for your changes to ObjectFactory.convertChangeEvents()? The latter is a different
component.
