Subject [jira] [Commented] (CELIX-115) logservice bundle entries list grows indefinitely
Date Sun, 18 Jan 2015 18:26:34 GMT

Alexander Broekhuis commented on CELIX-115:

I propose to add a configuration property to specify how large this buffer should be. Besides
that it might make sense (as Apache Felix does) to enable/disable debug logging.

So that gives 2 properties (blatantly copied from Felix and adjusted to Celix):
  Default 100
The maximum size of the log history. A value of -1 means the log has no maximum size; a
value of 0 means that no historical information is maintained
  Default false
Determines whether or not debug messages will be stored in the history

> Log entries list (log->entries) grows indefinitely, since every call to log_addEntry
function simply add an element to log->entries. This can be a problem on long run sessions.
Maybe it should be implemented as a circular list with a fixed number of entries?
