This comes from EntityResolver.applyDBLayerDefaults().  The commit where
this was introduced (Revision 606720) says:

"JPA: adding extra step - connecting reverse relationships on Cayenne end
for consistent runtime..."

So is it OK to turn this off?  Or will things blow up?
