I use this in my Cayenne 1.1 project.

            dataContext.invalidateObjects(dataContext.getObjectStore().getObjects());

In my 1.1 junit tests, I go even farther:

        getDataContext().rollbackChanges();
        getDataContext().invalidateObjects(getDataContext().getObjectStore().getObjects());
        getDataContext().getObjectStore().getDataRowCache().clear();
