As an aside, there is* as option in the preference pane under Java->Code Style->Organize
Imports (it’s a tab) called “Number of static imports needed for .*”. If you change
that to 1, this behavior will be fixed for you. 

*At least there used to be. I haven’t used Eclipse in a couple of years
