Hey Roshan, 
Read requests accepted by your Coordinator node in your PROD environment will only be sent
to your DR data center if you use a CONSISTENCY setting that specifies such. The easiest way
to ensure you are only reading from Production is to use LOCAL_QUORUM or ONE on all reads
in your PROD system. Unless you manage your Cassandra ring closely, other CONSISTENCY settings
could result in data being read from DR.
