I think the code is in good shape and some of the sub-tickets are basically done and ready for review. I've flagged the tickets for the base classes (CASSANDRA-13457), unit testing (CASSANDRA-13458) and local persistency (CASSANDRA-13460) as "patch available". There's nothing left to do from my side there. Please feel free to provide feedback or take the reviewer seat. See tickets for more details. Native transport integration will take some more time however. I'd still like to get a discussion going how to make this happen with or without any native transport protocol protocol changes. This part still needs feedback. But once agreed upon the right approach, this shouldn't be much work either. > Diagnostic Events > ----------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-12944 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-12944 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Observability > Reporter: Stefan Podkowinski > > I'd like to propose a new "diagnostic events" feature that would allow to observe internal Cassandra events in unit tests and from external tools via native transport. The motivation is to improve testing as well as operational monitoring and troubleshooting beyond logs and metrics. > Please find more details in the linked proposal and give it some thoughts :) -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.4.14#64029) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscribe@cassandra.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-help@cassandra.apache.org
