Subject [jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-13610) Add the ability to only scrub one file in Cassandra
Date Thu, 15 Jun 2017 19:32:00 GMT
Dikang Gu created CASSANDRA-13610:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Add the ability to only scrub one file in Cassandra
                 Key: CASSANDRA-13610
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-13610
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Tools
            Reporter: Dikang Gu
            Assignee: Dikang Gu
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 4.x

In our production clusters, we see several corrupted files on C* severs some times. And we
use `Nodetool scrub` to rebuild the tables.

However, out of the 1000+ sstables, usually, just a few are corrupted (less than 10). It will
be useful to enhance the `Nodetool scrub` to only scrub certain sstable files. So it will
be much efficient than rebuilding the whole table.

One engineer in my team is working on this.
