Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-13326) Support unaligned memory access for AArch64
Date Thu, 16 Mar 2017 04:58:42 GMT

Jeff Jirsa commented on CASSANDRA-13326:

[~jasobrown] - when you commit, can you ninja in an extra space for alignment?

[~yuqilinaro] - I think it's reasonble to commit this, as it seems like a simple change that's
unlikely to risk the rest of the platforms, but can you also run a unit test (checkout the
relevant branches, then run {{ant realclean ; ant ; ant test}} ) and let us know if tests
pass/fail with this patch? I suspect that there are relatively few people with test hardware
available, so committing patches we can't reasonably test is scary - knowing the state of
unit tests would be really helpful (if they all pass with this change, that's great; if there
are dozens/hundreds of failures, it seems like lipgloss on a pig).
