Somewhat. Do you mean something like http://www.datastax.com/dev/blog/pluggable-metrics-reporting-in-cassandra-2-0-2?
I considered that and it looked like I'd have to move this out of MonitoringTask. I also tried
using Timer objects, but then there's the problem that the actual CQL query isn't available
here, but a reconstruction, so I wasn't really sure what I could track against.
