Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-11806) sstableloader fails with "Remote peer <ipaddr> failed stream session" on small table
Date Fri, 27 May 2016 01:40:12 GMT

Don Branson commented on CASSANDRA-11806:

Hey, [~pauloricardomg], thanks for having a look. What I ended up doing as a work-around was
to load all the other tables into the new system, then used COPY to export and import the
data from this small table. So, I'm up and running.

I've run into the dropped column issues before, so I should have caught this. It's an artifact
of my approach to building and maintaining the schema.

Is there a discussion channel anywhere on the topic of migration/backup/restore on Cassandra?
I'd be interested at least to follow the topic.

> This error is with sstableloader loading a 2-column table with 20 rows. All other tables
in the keyspace load clean. The database dump is from cassandra 2.1.9, the target is cassandra
3.5. 14 of the 20 rows load successfully.
