> Hi,
> I'm starting a new project and was hoping to upgrade directly to cassandra 3.0, so it
would save us a migration from 2.2 later on.
> Unfortunately, the datanucleus-cassandra-5.0.0-m1 (latest) don't support the 3.0 data
model.
> Errors like these will appear because of JDO:
> https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-10996
> To be more specific, this class does things like:
> StringBuilder stmtBuilder = new StringBuilder("SELECT keyspace_name FROM system.schema_keyspaces
WHERE keyspace_name=?;");
> https://github.com/datanucleus/datanucleus-cassandra/blob/master/src/main/java/org/datanucleus/store/cassandra/CassandraSchemaHandler.java
> It doesn't seem like the Datanucleus guys are looking to fix this, since the last update
on datanucleus-cassandra was on 2014. I will open an issue there too. Hope can reach contributors
from both places.
> I guess opening an issue here is more a "heads up", because more developers will waste
time on this soon.
> thanks
