Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-10559) Support encrypted and plain traffic on the same port
Date Fri, 23 Oct 2015 14:49:28 GMT

Stefan Podkowinski commented on CASSANDRA-10559:

Do we still need the option to create both plain and ssl sockets as implemented in CASSANDRA-9590
with this patch? While I wouldn't revert the whole patch, removing the {{native_transport_port_ssl}}
part from {{cassandra.yaml}} seams reasonable to encourage using the {{optional}} setting

It would also be worth investigating if we can use ssl detection for {{MessagingService}}.
Then we could get rid of {{ssl_storage_port}} as well.

be very helpful if we could have Cassandra accept both on the same port.
