Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-10086) Add a "CLEAR" cqlsh command to clear the console
Date Sat, 22 Aug 2015 20:33:45 GMT

Paul O'Fallon commented on CASSANDRA-10086:

Ok, I made the ordering changes as requested (see the v2 patch). I took a look at the tests
but wasn't really sure where to add a test for this (I didn't see any existing tests for other
cqlsh functions such as SOURCE and EXPAND that I could use as a guide). I'm still willing
to try but may need a little more guidance... Thanks!

> It would be very helpful to have a "CLEAR" command to clear the cqlsh console. I learned
(after researching a patch for this) that lowercase CTRL+L will clear the screen, but having
a discrete command would make that more obvious. To match the expectations of Windows users,
an alias to "CLS" would be nice as well.
