Subject [jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-10024) Skip page cache for batchLog
Date Sat, 08 Aug 2015 18:26:46 GMT

Aleksey Yeschenko commented on CASSANDRA-10024:

Have you measured it having any effect?

Under normal operation, your should almost never have any batchlog entries hitting disk (except
as commit log entries) - memtable flushing has special cased code for just that.

And in 3.0 even less so, with explicit compaction at the end thrown out with CASSANDRA-7237,
and no more full scanning.

this might make sense.
