Subject [jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-9737) Log warning when using an aggregate without partition key
Date Mon, 06 Jul 2015 14:52:04 GMT
Christopher Batey created CASSANDRA-9737:
--------------------------------------------

Summary: Log warning when using an aggregate without partition key
                 Key: CASSANDRA-9737
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-9737
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Wish
          Components: Core
            Reporter: Christopher Batey
            Assignee: Robert Stupp
            Priority: Trivial

After a discussion with [~pmcfadin] thought it best to raise this. Aggregates are awesome
but they are going to be mis-used. There are very few cases I can think of where we'd want
users to use them across partition so maybe we should log a warning like with large batches?
