Ariel Weisberg commented on CASSANDRA-9683:
-------------------------------------------

I tried to reproduce this on one node and didn't have any luck. I started a node with 2.1.6,
loaded 260 gigabytes of 8 megabyte rows along with 7 million small rows in a different column
family. I upgraded to 2.1.7, and there was no difference in latency reported by stress.

> After upgrading our cassandra staging cluster version from 2.1.6 to 2.1.7, the average
load grows from 0.1-0.3 to 1.8.
> Latencies did increase as well.
> We see an increase of pending compactions, probably due to CASSANDRA-9592.
> This cluster has almost no workload (staging environment)
