Can't people that want floating point counting just multiply their values by some factor of
10 to make it integer? Given the limitations of counters, you surely cannot be relying on
them for too much precision in the first place anyway. Plus, given again the limitations,
I'm not convinced multiplying the number of variant we have is sending the right message.
