The current issue is this, if a notif is lost, and that notif is maybe a completion message, then we don't know the outcome of the repair and so we told the user to check c* logs for the outcome. If we use this api, we can now tell for certain if the repair is still going (in which case notif lost is not a problem, we're still waiting) so that's a partial solution. If we *did* lose a completion notification, however, is there a way for me to find out if the repair was successful or failed so I can retry/alert the customer? > Expose an mbean method to poll for repair job status > ---------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-8076 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-8076 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Philip S Doctor > Assignee: Yuki Morishita > > Given the int reply-id from forceRepairAsync, allow a client to request the status of this ID via jmx. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332)
