Not really a fan of the {{?}} variants: you can just query and see if it returns null and
it's not standard enough that it's worth cluttering the syntax with (we can always provide
a {{isNull}} method if we really want to).

Regarding the slicing syntax, I guess it's not crazy for maps and sets but I'd much rather
not adding anything for lists because 1) I don't think there is any easy way to optimize this
under the hood and 2) I'm not all that convinced that it's that useful in practice.
