Can we do a comparison between Netty and the one that we have in the patch? If Netty proves
to be better I would volunteer to refactor our code so we can switch to Netty 4.x and get
that allocator from there, one more useful thing is that it already has far better ByteBuf
implementation comparing to ByteBuffer shipped with JDK so we don't have to do anything Native*
on our side.
