Subject [jira] [Updated] (CASSANDRA-6132) CL.ANY writes can still time out
Date Fri, 04 Oct 2013 21:33:43 GMT

Jonathan Ellis updated CASSANDRA-6132:

    Fix Version/s: (was: 1.2.11)

This was messier than I thought and (four ninja commits later) I'm not confident all the corner
cases are fixed. Reverted from 1.2.x; will fix in 2.0.y only.

> If we know that all replicas are down at the beginning of a mutation, we will write a
hint and return success.
> But if we do not, we will attemp to write to replicas, time out, return failure, and
then write a hint, violating our contract that (unless the coordinator goes down), writes
at CL.ANY should always succeed.
