generate the version.properties file into ${basedir}/src/resources, and allow it to be copied into classes by the regular build process. Doing this allows eclipse/idea to see it as a resource that needs copying during build as well, and so they don't just delete the file on scrub-build. The IDE should just have src/resources as a src directory.  (Against trunk)
