Thanks Ryan. This makes sense as the goal of the previous version(s) were low overhead in
real-world workloads. The newest version removes overhead in synthetic workloads as well.
That may not translate into significant application gains as most of the time is hopefully
spent elsewhere. The observable benefit might be less pressure on the young gen GC as reads
no longer create garbage in the heap.
