Subject [jira] [Created] (CASSANDRA-5822) Keep previous index_interval value when upgrading to 2.0
Date Mon, 29 Jul 2013 17:35:49 GMT
Yuki Morishita created CASSANDRA-5822:
-----------------------------------------

Summary: Keep previous index_interval value when upgrading to 2.0
                 Key: CASSANDRA-5822
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-5822
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 2.0 beta 2
            Reporter: Yuki Morishita
            Assignee: Yuki Morishita
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 2.0

2.0 moves index_interval from global to CF level, but current beta always sets default of
128 to existing CFs from previous versions.
I think it is better (and not surprising) to keep index_interval in cassandra.yaml and use
that as default for existing CF.
