5431-v2 doesn't apply cleanly to cassandra-1.2. When fixes up are applied, patch looks good
to me, on it's own.

I'd note that passing passwords as Strings is probably not a good idea as there's no way to
flush the password from the server memory space, as there's no guarantee that gc will toss
that string. Would be better if the interface was char[]'s that can be cleared.

But that's not this patch's problem. +1
